Job Title: Salon Manager

Thomas Taft Salon LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salon Manager to lead our team of creative professionals. As a Salon Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our salon, ensuring a professional and collaborative environment for both employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client scheduling and experience to ensure a smooth journey from booking to checkout.
  • Lead the hiring process from start to finish, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and training.
  • Manage payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Develop and manage employee work schedules to ensure proper staffing to meet business needs.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere and serve as a first point of contact for employee concerns.
  • Ensure the salon is well-stocked with supplies and properly maintained, addressing minor repairs and upkeep as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to execute marketing campaigns and plan in-salon events designed to engage clientele and drive business growth.
  • Address and resolve client and employee concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Utilize CRM software to analyze performance data, manage inventory, and maximize profitability.
  • Identify and initiate business-to-business partnerships for cross-promotion opportunities.
  • Work closely with upper management to uphold existing sales standards while actively driving new sales growth.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins with staff to provide support, feedback, and ensure a positive working environment.
  • Organize and prepare reports for quarterly staff meetings, using data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years managing a creative team of 10+ employees.
  • Experience with payroll management and hiring processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work Wednesday through Saturday and alternate Sundays, with flexibility to adapt to seasonal business demands.
  • Knowledge of NYC labor laws and salon sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, CRM software, and other management tools.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of leading by example.
