Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Delivery Specialist to join our dedicated team at UPMC Pittsburgh Medical Center.

This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering products in an accurate, courteous, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists with technical and clerical duties while providing exceptional customer service.

The Patient Delivery Specialist will work on a rotating schedule, including two days on and two days off, with 13-hour shifts and occasional weekends and on-call nights. We offer a generous benefits package, opportunities for career growth, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patients' signatures on required forms.
  • Organize and file pharmacy documentation as needed.
  • Handle customer complaints in a fair and empathetic manner.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient deliveries.
  • Meet customer satisfaction expectations and anticipate their needs.
  • Deliver pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Promote a positive company culture by providing quality services through teamwork.
  • Complete daily logs accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in preparing packing lists and delivery tickets.
  • Ensure completed packing lists and delivery tickets are forwarded for reimbursement.
  • Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
  • Perform various duties, such as shipping, receiving, and general warehouse cleaning.
  • Work effectively and maintain productivity.
  • Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean and orderly condition, reporting any mechanical issues to management.
  • Pick up sharps containers and dispose of biohazardous waste properly.
  • Pick up excess supplies and/or equipment when patients are no longer in service, process returns according to policy, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
