The primary role of an Industrial Maintenance Technician at La Reina is to guarantee that all mechanical systems are secure and functioning optimally. This position is crucial for ensuring that all new mechanical and electrical components are installed in compliance with industry standards. The technician will uphold all safety and quality protocols established by the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine mechanical maintenance on all production and facility equipment.
- Complete Maintenance Breakdown Reports, Root Cause Analyses, and other necessary documentation.
- Ensure production lines operate efficiently and safely to deliver the highest quality products.
- Maintain a Daily Maintenance Report that includes preventative maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues as they arise.
- Support company policies and values.
- Provide regular maintenance and lubrication for all machinery.
- Collaborate closely with Production Operators and Supervisors.
- Implement preventative maintenance protocols and ensure timely completion.
- Document daily maintenance activities.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality, and Food Safety Programs as outlined in the company's guidelines.
- Understand Food Safety and Sanitation Standards relevant to the industry.
- Suggest enhancements, including capital investments, to improve operations, reduce expenses, and elevate quality.
- Be available for weekend work as needed.
- Adapt to shift rotations as required.
- May undertake additional tasks as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with other department Supervisors and Managers regarding operational issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask and perform under pressure while minimizing production downtime.
Qualifications:
- Strong reading and writing abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a production environment.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in Food Manufacturing Machine Repair.
- Willingness to rotate shifts based on departmental needs.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing machinery is advantageous.
- Availability for weekend shifts when scheduled.
- Possession of personal tools is required.
Physical Requirements:
