About the Role

Darling Ingredients is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance & Repair Technician to join our production team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment
  • Repair or replace pumps, gearboxes, piping, packing, and hydraulics
  • Assist other maintenance personnel on special fabrication or construction projects
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
  • Attend safety meetings and follow all safety rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Experience in operating a forklift
  • Ability to use a cutting torch and stick welder
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work safely on wet and slippery floors and in variable temperatures
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational school training
  • Basic 480 electrical skills
  • Good math skills
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance and manufacturing equipment operations
