Job Summary:

TerrAscend is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Edibles Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our regulated cannabis infused products, ensuring high-quality and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and perform critical tasks to ensure timely, high-quality, and compliant production of regulated cannabis infused products.
  • Lead and manage a team of Edibles leads and techs across 2 shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure consistency and quality across large volumes of products.
  • Direct reports will include Edibles leads and techs, and you will be responsible for their training, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment and kitchen area.
  • Ensure production orders are completed with consistency and quality while maintaining reasonable speed, and keep accurate records at all steps to maintain quality and control of regulated product.
  • Awareness and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and Quality Assurance (QA) regulations.
  • Oversee the creation and adherence to area Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recipes.
  • Maintain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hygiene for everyone working in the edibles production areas.
  • Implementation of new systems and processes related to edibles products, and maintain training records for direct reports.
  • Approved Edible leads and techs timesheets, PTO, and schedules, and coordinate with the Inventory, Supply chain, Procurement, and Packaging teams to ensure timely production, ordering of supplies, and accurate inventory.
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for 10 hours per day and requires consistent hand-eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity, and must be able to bend, lift, and stoop continuously.

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a GMP manufacturing or laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Experience in the medical marijuana/cannabis industry is preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated to learn and improve.
  • Strong mathematical skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide various units of measure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • High stress tolerance, adaptable, ability to work in an ever-changing environment, flexible.
  • Effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information obtained from manuals, data sheets, or other documents.
  • Culinary background and experience, strongly preferred.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all company regulations.
