About the Role

The Guest Services Attendant creates a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant, and banquet guests.

They arrange for cars to be parked or retrieved, arrange transportation for guests, and ensure that guests' departure is swift and complete.

They assist guests with luggage during arrival and departure, make necessary deliveries to and pick up from guest rooms, transport guest and hotel packages and parcels.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Greet guests who arrive by private car, taxi, or limo by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel.
  2. Assist guests descending from cars, issue appropriate valet parking tickets to guests who want their car parked, and give verbal greetings to guests arriving on foot.
  3. Unload guest luggage from cars, tag it, and issue claim tickets to the guest, direct hotel guests to the Front Desk for check-in.
  4. Assure the smooth flow of traffic on the drive by directing guest cars and taxis to the appropriate positions and directing valet parkers to park cars.
  5. Provide guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions, hail taxis as needed, load luggage in cars for departing guests.
  6. Escort guests to their rooms, deliver luggage to rooms upon check-in and pick up luggage from rooms upon departure, moving the luggage to storage or the Front Drive.
  7. Maintain proper records of deliveries and pick-ups, perform shoeshine services, and pick up shoes from guest rooms, clean and polish them, and return them to the guest.
  8. Perform errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off of the hotel property.
  9. Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolve customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
