Job Description

A wholesale insurance broker is seeking an experienced commercial insurance professional for an account management opportunity. In this position, you will work with an established broker, assisting with assigned accounts and working closely with one successful broker.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, ambitious, and organized professional to join an established firm and work with a successful broker on a large and established book of business. This addition to staff will work alongside a senior broker assistant, providing daily support to a growing list of accounts. Wholesale insurance brokerage is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating client data across all required platforms.
  • Liaise with retail agency staff and underwriters to guarantee precise account details.
  • Ready accounts for the renewal phase; engage in new business solicitation or renewals as instructed by the Broker.
  • Craft submissions for the market and draft quote cover letters for Agents. Ensure the accuracy of policies and documents received.
  • Support in managing account transactions, including the processing and preparation of necessary documents like endorsements, change forms, invoices, etc.
  • Address and resolve any billing discrepancies with the Premium Accounting department.
  • Communicate with Premium Accounting to handle cancellation notices effectively.
  • Ensure timely notification of claims to the claims department.
  • Undertake essential administrative tasks, including filing, copying, printing, and managing files.
  • For accuracy, generate and prepare reports, submissions, cover letters, and policy reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with commercial insurance in a retail or wholesale insurance experience
  • Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
  • Ability to understand the client's needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated
  • Ability to review information, make decisions and manage time effectively
  • Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with broker and agencies Leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
