Laboratory Specialist with Weekend Flexibility

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Exact Sciences Careers, responsible for performing day-to-day operations in the Specimen Processing Department.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for lab productivity and process line support, including accessioning, processing, automation usage, sample racking, lab maintenance, and cleaning. They will also ensure accurate data reporting practices and maintain consistent execution of Specimen Processing.
About the Role:
This role supports the mission and vision of Exact Sciences Laboratories and is accountable for ensuring the Specimen Processing department operates effectively. The successful candidate will have strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work flexibly, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day operations in the Specimen Processing Department
- Support operational initiatives, including quality and process improvements, SOP development, and department inspections
- Handle and dispose of specimens following standard precautions and safety policies
- Meet performance and behavior expectations, including exemplifying core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Quality, and Innovation
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 75% of a typical working day
- Ability to comply with personal protective equipment requirements and understand potential exposure to hazardous materials and instruments
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or a related field, and experience in a laboratory or similar environment. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work flexibly, including weekends.

Salary: $43,500 - $53,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
