Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical systems and sub-systems.
  • Interpret pneumatic and electrical schematics effectively.
  • Conduct helium leak testing and perform module and sub-assembly evaluations.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
  • Follow work instructions meticulously to ensure precision in operations.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to promote effective communication on the production floor.
  • Execute standard testing procedures and troubleshoot minor to major issues.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Attendance is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience in a non-manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cable and harness assembly is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and capability to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  • General knowledge of hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use software applications.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of technician coursework and/or an Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with helium leak testing and module/sub-assembly inspection is desirable.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Must be able to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to use arms, hands, and fingers effectively.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Comfortable using a ladder.
  • Exposure to hazards such as electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, and chemical substances.
  • Subject to varying noise levels.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional out-of-town travel may be necessary for training and meetings.
