About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse I to join our team at Georgetown University Medical Center. As a key member of our Oncology Clinical Trials Office, you will play a critical role in the coordination and management of clinical trials, ensuring the highest level of patient care and research integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study Coordination: Manage the overall coordination of assigned clinical trials throughout the trial lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate completion of study-related tasks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with investigators, study team members, and hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of study-related activities.
  • Patient Care: Interface with study participants, obtain and document informed consent, and coordinate study-related procedures and assessments to ensure patient safety and protocol integrity.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all study-related activity, including medical data, in the participant's medical record and when applicable, the patient research chart, in compliance with protocol and sponsor requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree, BLS certification, and RN license in the District of Columbia.
  • Experience: Three to five (3-5) years nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare setting, with up to two (2) years of clinical research experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong candidates exhibit knowledge of clinical research, research processes, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP), excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and reliable and able to prioritize competing responsibilities.
