We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Sierra Medical Center. As a per diem OR RN, you will provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations in the OR arena.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the OR environment, addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical and Pain Center environment.
- Assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to ensure the highest level of care.
- Assess the operating room/procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtaining supplies for individual cases and ensuring all appropriate needs of the surgical operating team are met.
- Demonstrate supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR, in partnership with the patient.
- Takes appropriate actions and documents in response to manifested anxiety or distress, requesting Social Service/Pastoral Care as needed.
