About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Applied Scientist II to join our team at Amazon, working on the development of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate richer and expanded product information. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying LLMs and ML systems that can achieve high precision and recall, and scale to new marketplaces and languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy LLMs and ML systems to generate product information
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLMs and ML systems into Amazon's production ecosystem
  • Design and implement experiments to evaluate the performance of LLMs and ML systems
  • Work with data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy data pipelines and infrastructure to support LLM and ML system development
About the Team

Our team is responsible for developing and deploying LLMs and ML systems to generate product information for Amazon's customers. We are a collaborative and dynamic team that values innovation and experimentation. As an Applied Scientist II, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with top talent in the field.

Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in machine learning, AI, or related field
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Experience with LLMs, ML systems, and data pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, and active learning
  • Experience with Amazon's cloud infrastructure and services
