Job Title: Family Services Specialist - Child Welfare

About the Role:

This position is responsible for providing vital support in areas like family services, adoption, adult services, and child welfare. You will work directly with individuals and families to help them overcome complex challenges and improve their ability to function in society.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct intervention with individuals with complex problems in one or more areas such as family services, adoption, adult services, and child welfare services.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans to meet the unique needs of each family or individual.
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide comprehensive services and support to families and individuals.
  • Provide education and training to families and individuals on topics such as parenting, child development, and community resources.
  • Conduct home visits, assessments, and other activities as needed to ensure the well-being and safety of families and individuals.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Gerontology, Sociology, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in a family engagement; child development, elderly or disabled fields of work, or family-focused social work or closely related experiences.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Pass a background check and pre-employment testing for controlled substances.
