Job Summary

Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Research Aide (Eligibility Program Specialist/Receptionist) for the Cumberland County Territory. This position will serve as the first point of contact for clients and will be responsible for administering state and federal child care program policies, data storage, and documentation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily application process, reviewing for completeness and data entry into the system(s)
  • Provide child care assistance program-related duties and technical assistance to clients
  • Perform general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of the office and position
Requirements
  • High school/vocational school or equivalent, and experience compiling and organizing varied data
  • Two years of varied office experience, or college-level study may be substituted for the office experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity of state/federal child care subsidy programs
Work Environment

This position is an office setting with minimal physical demands. Occasional lifting/carrying of archive boxes may be required.
