Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at KPC Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Assist patients with surgery, maintaining established departmental policies and procedures.
- Cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and follow infection control policies.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
- Assist in maintaining correct count of instruments, sutures, and sponges.
- Provide comfort and support for pre-operative patients, demonstrating sensitivity to patient care and privacy.
- Identify and care for specimens, notifying appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs as needed.
- Assist in clearing OR suites and handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technician, 2 years preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Completion of course for surgical technicians preferred.
- Full command of the English language (verbal and written).
- Physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform assigned duties.
