Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the healthcare team at KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC., responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgery, utilizing aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  • Assist patients with surgery, providing comfort and support throughout the procedure.
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and follow infection control policies.
  • Identify and care for specimens, and notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or equivalent.
  2. Current BLS certification.
  3. Completion of a course for surgical technicians preferred.
  4. Full command of the English language (verbal and written).
  5. Physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform assigned duties.
