The Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the healthcare team at KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC., responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, utilizing aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Assist patients with surgery, providing comfort and support throughout the procedure.
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and follow infection control policies.
- Identify and care for specimens, and notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- Completion of a course for surgical technicians preferred.
- Full command of the English language (verbal and written).
- Physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform assigned duties.
