Senior Surgical Tech Float- Perioperative Float Pool- F/T, Day Shift

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Perioperative Float Pool team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room, including preparing and stocking the OR, gathering clean and sterile supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Participate in the orientation of new staff and contribute to departmental committees.
- Float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed, providing flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology.
- Completion of clinical training in an acute care perioperative setting, preferably in an academic medical center.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility.
- Possession of a national Scrub Technician certification.
