Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Aerotek. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for reading prints and assembling machines/products for a new production line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read prints and assemble machines/products for a new production line.
- Cut, shape, weld, bend, repair, or join components.
- Perform framework tasks.
- Focus on tube fabrication, structural welding, and fabrication with thick wall tubing.
- Check measurements and dimensions of each piece using rulers, measuring tapes, or squares.
- Place each product component in its appropriate spot as noted in the blueprints using tools like a hammer, pry bar, jack, wedge, or other tools.
- Identify spots to cut and use tools to manipulate steel, plastic, or other materials by cutting, hammering, bending, or grinding the workpiece.
- Use furnaces or hand torches to heat materials to make them more flexible for bending or manipulation to the correct specification.
- Review blueprints, drawings, and other specification papers before and during the fabrication process to ensure accurate completion.
- Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind, and adjust materials.
- Make templates for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work quality.

Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position in Statesville, North Carolina. The facility is clean and modern, with a brand new section just opened.
Pay Rate:
$20-25/hr
