Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activity Assistant to join our team at The Meadows of Kalida. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and inclusive environment for our residents, planning and implementing activities that promote their physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a variety of activities and programs to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and social events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs and preferences are met.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that activities and programs are aligned with the facility's goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure that they are meeting their intended goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to residents who may require assistance with activities or programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with older adults and/or individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and other team members.
  • Ability to plan and implement activities and programs that are engaging and inclusive for residents.
  • Physical ability to move around the facility and participate in activities with residents.
