Job Title: Benefits Coordinator

The Benefits Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting client teams in developing benefit strategies and meeting client goals and objectives. This position requires a strong understanding of employer-sponsored health & welfare related plans, including federal and state regulations that impact these plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares information to facilitate client requests and support client team activities.
  • Supports the Team Leader and Account Managers in achieving client goals and objectives.
  • Assists in project management of assigned clients, including managing components of projects and ensuring timely completion.
  • Participates in client conference calls and provides direct interaction with clients on day-to-day questions.
  • Attends vendor meetings and participates in internal and external training sessions.
  • Responsible for managing components of projects and accountable for assigned work product.
  • Proactively conducts research and produces financial analytics for client deliverables.
  • Develops and assists in marketing efforts, including follow-up with insurance carriers.
  • Researches health and welfare compliance questions and works with the client team and other internal resources.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 0-3+ years of health & welfare experience, meeting majority of core practice competency-based skills.
  • Resourceful, proactive self-starter with the ability to think ahead.
  • Strong business acumen paired with intellectual curiosity.
  • Displays a commitment to professional growth and development, including training and mentoring.
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to multitask, manage competing priorities with strong time management skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly sit, hear, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • The work environment characteristics described are representative of those employees performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Occasional travel.
