New Way Trucks is a family-owned company with a rich history of innovation and excellence in industrial equipment manufacturing. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee the final stages of our assembly process in Scranton, Iowa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and healthy work environment for team members and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Develop and implement effective manufacturing lines and processes using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and implement changes to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Direct the efforts of Supervisors to ensure all work is coordinated, downtime is minimized, and product meets established quality standards.
  • Work with Supervisors to develop procedures and techniques to reduce process variation and manufacturing delays.
  • Manage labor costs and ensure alignment with budget.
  • Coordinate production schedules with support departments and resolve manufacturing problems related to methods, tools, materials, and manpower.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and ability to create metrics.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of processes and equipment in a similar industry.
  • Ability to plan and implement changes effectively.
  • Math skills, including a good understanding of fractions and angles.
  • Financial knowledge to understand and make decisions that impact profitability.
  • Ability to read blueprint drawings, schematics, and other related technical documents.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use and create word documents, spreadsheets, and utilize Payroll and Enterprise Resource Planning software.
