Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their purchases, managing checkout processes, and coordinating order pickups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Customers: Assist customers with their purchases by providing knowledgeable guidance, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth and satisfying shopping experience.
  • Facilitating Immediate Fulfillment of Non-Stocked Showroom Products: Coordinate with warehouse staff to quickly process and fulfill orders for products not displayed on the showroom floor.
  • Managing Checkout Processes: Manage checkout processes by efficiently handling transactions and processing payments.
  • Coordinating Order Pickups: Coordinate order pickups by organizing and communicating with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate retrieval of items for customer collection.
  • Reconciling Cash Drawer: Ensure the accuracy of daily transactions by balancing and reconciling the cash drawer at the end of each shift, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Showroom Product Replenishment: Maintain optimal product availability and presentation by regularly restocking showroom shelves and displays, ensuring items are correctly placed and aligned with inventory levels.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement proactive measures to deter theft and reduce loss by monitoring customer behavior, securing high-value items, and adhering to company policies for handling suspicious activity.
  • Customer Support: Provide support to the Customer Support team by handling customer phone calls, live chats, emails, and Q&A tasks when not engaged in primary showroom duties, ensuring consistent and responsive customer interactions.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable and literate with computers (Windows 10) and mobile devices
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost integrity and discretion
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position at least 25% of the time during shift (typically up to 8 hours per day)
  • Ability to move throughout the building at least 75% of the time during shift (typically up to 8 hours per day)
  • Ability to move product up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds (team lift)

Work Environment:

  • Climate-controlled office environment (indoors)
  • Project workload varies throughout the year
  • Experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines
  • Noise level is quiet to moderate

Compensation:

This is a non-exempt role. The starting pay for this role is $18.00/hour, depending on experience.
