Position Overview


The Finance & Accounts team, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is on the lookout for a Lead Financial Analyst, FP&A. This position will report directly to the FP&A Manager, Reporting for North America.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the FP&A Manager in producing monthly management reports that encompass all aspects of the P&L and cash flow, while collaborating with functional leaders to identify key performance drivers, elucidate actuals, and prepare comprehensive forecasts and plans.

Additionally, this role will aid the FP&A Manager with sensitive monthly and quarterly inputs for management reports and ad hoc requests from the leadership team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the monthly reporting process to support strategic decision-making with a business-focused perspective on financial performance.

Consolidate variance analyses across regions compared to plans and forecasts, along with root cause analyses and narrative explanations.

Assist in SG&A functional reporting with a specific emphasis on IT.

Collaborate with IT and SG&A functional leaders to establish annual budgets and report on significant variances, utilizing persuasive communication skills to drive performance towards company-wide objectives and KPIs.

Coordinate cash flow reporting, including detailed calculations for working capital management.

Oversee various workflows within the team and prioritize tasks as necessary to ensure timely delivery of financial and operational information.

Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards.

Provide monthly updates on cost outlook for the quarter and consolidate the 18-month rolling forecast on a quarterly basis.

Support the preparation of the annual plan and strategic plan, understanding the implications of key assumptions and market dynamics on business projections.

Become well-versed in the complete P&L and articulate the key drivers of net income.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in managing financial data.

Fundamental knowledge of US-GAAP and management accounting principles.

Experience with ERP or Consolidation/Forecasting systems (Hyperion, OneStream, SAP, etc.).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Familiarity with PowerBI.

A proactive and participative management style, demonstrating curiosity and enthusiasm for Novelis' business while maintaining organization and structure.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate group discussions towards deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Data Science.

Experience within a manufacturing organization.

Proficiency in developing PowerBI solutions.
