Position Overview

We are seeking a Sales Executive (US) to join our Reprints Team. In this role, you will represent the company to clients, including direct engagement with the pharmaceutical sector and collaboration with agents or medical communications agencies. Your primary responsibility will be to meet annual sales targets through effective account management and a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve and surpass annual sales targets across various profit centers, contributing to the division's overall revenue goals.
  2. Conduct regular sales visits to clients, customizing sales materials to maximize opportunities.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring sustainable and profitable trading.
  4. Provide periodic updates on sales progress and market conditions to the team.
  5. Gather and share market intelligence, competitor insights, and client feedback.
  6. Develop a strategic approach to business activities in your territory, adapting to changing market conditions.
  7. Adhere to company policies to safeguard profitability and business value.
  8. Participate in sales meetings and events to enhance market awareness and gather relevant intelligence.
  9. Collaborate with various internal departments to improve coverage and support for your territory.
  10. Prepare and adapt sales materials for client visits.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales environment, with a solid understanding of sales dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Open Access licensing.
  • Knowledge of the academic publishing sector or book trade.
  • Proficient in the core MS Office suite.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Consultative sales skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory and attend industry events.
  • Ability to manage sales budgets and drive towards targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
