We are looking for an Emergency Department Paramedic to join our team, ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality, efficient care to all patients. If you are passionate about patient care, we want you to be part of our supportive team.

Role Summary and Qualifications

The Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P) delivers direct patient care in accordance with the Texas Paramedic/EMT Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. As an Advanced Care Technician, you will perform various functions for patients needing urgent or emergency care. We are a dedicated team seeking an exceptional addition who shares our commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in obtaining and documenting vital signs, including oxygen saturation and cardiac monitoring.
  • Perform technical tasks such as obtaining 12-lead EKGs and managing IV lines.
  • Support patient care activities, including positioning, dressing applications, and immobilization.
  • Conduct basic psychomotor skills and care-related activities.
  • Assist with wound care and the insertion of medical devices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient care areas.
  • Provide educational materials and instructions to patients and their families.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Emergency Medical Technician: Paramedic (EMT-P) certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
