We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and PFT Lab. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and experience working with patients with pulmonary conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess potential rehabilitation candidates, including a six-minute walk test and respiratory assessment to determine functional capacity and ability to participate in the program.
- Perform ABGs with I-stat, PFT maneuvers, six-minute walk tests, and FENO tests as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for patients enrolled in pulmonary rehabilitation, working closely with an interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patients' blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation levels before, during, and after exercise, making adjustments to the exercise regime as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documents, and charges.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding patients' progress and treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and participate in Phase II education series.
- Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and staff and self-development.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and PFT, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Current CT license and ACLS certification within a year of entering the position.
- CPFT certification and RPFT certification preferred for the PFT Lab.
