Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Education Supervisor to lead and plan the implementation of staff development programs for Providence Hospitals within Alaska. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing educational programs for Surgical Residency and Clinical Academy residencies to meet PTAP, regulatory, and strategic requirements and improve competencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement educational programs for Surgical Residency and Clinical Academy residencies
  • Collaborate with Human Resources department, PALI, nursing leaders, directors, physicians, and outside agencies to coordinate training needs and strategic planning
  • Schedule, supervise, evaluate, hire, and discipline staff within the area of responsibility
  • Facilitate the development of new procedures, monthly staff in-services, and mentoring of new surgical staff and surgical UAA students
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Care Field
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) accreditation program certificate upon hire
  • 3 years Acute clinical and supervisor experience; leadership experience may be substituted for supervisor experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year Experience with organizational development and clinical or staff development
