House Supervisor RN Job Description

At UHS, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Supervisor RN to join our team. As a House Supervisor RN, you will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of nursing personnel, ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership through assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation of direct patient care services.
  • Ensure productive and efficient staffing of units based on patient census, acuity, and FTE standards.
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges, ensuring throughput in the facilities.
  • Monitor patient progress in compliance with treatment plans, making recommendations as needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision and assist staff in planning patient care.
  • Instruct and guide mental health specialists and nurses in patient care responsibilities and assignments.
  • Provide feedback to staff on performance, reinforcing desired behaviors and teambuilding efforts.
  • Act as a leader in emergency management, coordinating care in high-intensity safety situations.

Qualifications:

  • Current license to practice nursing in Alaska.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • Previous House Supervisor/Charge Nurse experience preferred.
