Job Summary

This position is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing educational programs that provide foundational instruction and support for learners to become experts in their specialty through classroom lessons, simulations, and authentic patient experiences with the support of experienced preceptors.

The Clinical Education Supervisor RN works closely with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources to create an integrated and consistent structure for nurse onboarding and professional development, ensuring a ready supply of well-prepared nurses for hard-to-fill specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of learners and the organization
  • Collaborate with preceptors and other stakeholders to provide support and guidance to learners
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Work with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources to develop and implement onboarding and professional development programs
  • Provide leadership and guidance to clinical education staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (from a fully accredited program) or Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • 8 years in nursing or equivalent experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (from a fully accredited program) or equivalent education/experience
  • Advanced certifications in nursing (NPD-BC) upon hire
  • 2 years Educator experience
  • 1 year Leadership experience
  • 1 year Simulation (high-fidelity and low-fidelity) experience
  • 1 year Demonstrated experience and excellence in nursing education and professional development
