Diabetes Educator RN

As a Certified Diabetes Educator, you will provide comprehensive diabetes educational programs and activities under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor in the clinic. You will participate in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of these programs, ensuring the use of appropriate educational technology and learning methodology to increase knowledge, skills, and competencies of individuals with diabetes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement diabetes educational programs and activities
- Assess and evaluate program effectiveness
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest diabetes research and best practices
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field
- Alaska Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Diabetes Educator certification or ability to achieve in a defined period
- 2 years of patient care experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nutrition
- Case Management experience
