Key Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life of a Housekeeper:
As a Housekeeper at Liberty Military Housing, you will be responsible for the routine cleaning of community amenities, offices, and surrounding areas within a multi-family residential setting. You will utilize various tools, machinery, and equipment to perform tasks efficiently. This role requires effective communication skills, a commitment to quality work, and adherence to our mission of delivering exemplary service in line with Liberty Military Housing's customer satisfaction standards.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting routine cleaning of amenities, building exteriors, district offices, recreational areas, vacant homes, restrooms, and other community spaces.
- Daily removal of trash from grounds, office areas, homes, and community perimeters.
- Monitoring and cleaning restrooms and kitchen areas, restocking supplies as necessary.
- Maintaining floors through sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing as required.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of rooms and buildings by dusting furniture, washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and door panels.
- Assisting in preparing units for new occupants by performing cleaning duties, including vacuuming and shining windows, tiles, countertops, and appliances.
- Overseeing the supply room's appearance and monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Providing assistance to Service Technicians as needed.
- Performing additional routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed.
- Reporting maintenance issues for repairs in homes, community areas, and common spaces to your supervisor.
- Demonstrating safe and proper use of standard tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Complying with all safety regulations, local laws regarding health and safety, and Liberty Military Housing's Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Understanding and adhering to safe work practices across all trades, including Lockout Tag-out, Confined Space Entry, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Qualifications for Success:
- Entry-level to 6 months of general housekeeping or maintenance experience.
- Basic understanding of grounds maintenance or general cleaning practices.
- Ability to utilize tools, cleaning equipment, and supplies relevant to job requirements.
- Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, managers, vendors, and residents.
- Basic computer proficiency (ability to operate a PC or mobile device).
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to regional locations for work-related activities.
- Capacity to independently lift and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and emergencies as required.
- Participation in various departmental or regional meetings, community events, and other work-related gatherings.
