Job Title: Security Transport Specialist

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Location: Baltimore, MD

Position Overview: The Security Transport Specialist is responsible for executing transportation duties in accordance with established standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform transportation tasks adhering to PBNDS Standards and Training.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of all detainee transports, safeguarding records and personal belongings at all times.
  • Provide timely trip documentation to the Transportation Coordinator.
  • Notify relevant personnel of any changes in transport routes.
  • Obtain necessary detainee documentation from the transferring facility prior to departure.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance and service records.
  • Report any safety-related transportation issues immediately and complete necessary repair orders.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
  • Ensure all required equipment is present in the vehicle before departure, including first aid kits and security devices.
  • Adhere to scheduled work times as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
  • If stationed at a guard post, comply with all relevant protocols and orders.
  • Maintain possession of essential identification and permits at all times.
  • Complete post-transport vehicle checks and submit gas receipts to the Fleet Management Supervisor.
  • Document any incidents or accidents related to transportation duties.
  • Complete daily paperwork including Record of Presence (ROP) and equipment sign in/out sheets.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current federal background investigation clearance or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Law Enforcement Officer or Military Police Officer, or six months as a security officer with relevant experience.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Government Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Maryland Wear Carry Permit.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Maryland Security Guard Certification.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire and random drug tests and physical evaluations.
  • Valid Driver's License for the state of residence.
