Job Summary

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing for and conducting surgical procedures
  • Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
  • Ensure a safe and clean operating environment
  • Transport patients to and from the operating room
  • Assist with patient positioning and lifting
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Equivalent DMC surgical technician training program or equivalent combination of training and/or experience
  • Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists highly desirable
  • One to two years experience as a surgical technician preferred
Skills and Qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, and lifting
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
