We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in the operating room, assisting surgeons and nurses in providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assist surgeons and nurses in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team.
- Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure accurate counting and inventory of surgical supplies.
- Assist with the maintenance and preparation of the operating room, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a surgical technician training program.
- Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (CST) is highly desirable.
- One to two years of experience as a surgical technician is preferred.
