Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Breast Imaging Specialist to join our team at Diagnostic Imaging Northwest. This role involves performing mammographic procedures under guidance, adhering to the highest standards set by professional organizations. The Breast Imaging Specialist is committed to upholding company protocols and safety regulations while prioritizing patient and physician needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $43.62, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Upon successful completion of your residency and transition to a full Mammography Technologist, you may qualify for an increase in hourly pay and a potential sign-on bonus.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Deliver exceptional patient care in alignment with our mission.
2. Adapt to varying shifts as required.
3. Prepare patients for mammography by providing detailed explanations and instructions.
4. Gather comprehensive patient histories relevant to the procedures.
5. Under supervision, execute physician orders accurately, ensuring minimal exposure and repeatability in mammograms.
6. Maintain meticulous records of patient information.
7. Document procedures necessary for Mammo Technologist certification and compliance with regulations.
8. Present high-quality images and pertinent patient history for radiologist review.
9. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
10. Perform necessary computer functions related to patient exams.
11. Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of work and exam areas.
12. Participate in training and staff meetings.
13. Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
14. Maintain punctuality and efficiency with minimal absences.
15. Foster positive relationships with coworkers to ensure optimal patient care and workflow.
16. Provide accurate information to key stakeholders.
17. Stay current with all program requirements.
18. Check email communications regularly.
19. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Valid ARRT-(R) certification required.
  • Current BLS certification is mandatory.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

This position requires moderate physical activity, including the ability to assist patients of varying weights and stand or sit for extended periods. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating office equipment. Attention to detail and the ability to manage stressful situations are essential.

Work Environment:

The role is based in a standard office environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases and limited exposure to ionizing radiation.
