Job Summary

We're seeking an Environmental Scientist 2 to join our team. As an Environmental Scientist 2, you'll play a key role in collecting and managing project-related data, conducting environmental impact assessments, and preparing environmental documents. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that our projects meet the highest environmental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and manage project-related data, including research on water quality issues, surveys for listed species, and interviews with government agencies and clients.
  • Assimilate and manage data to inform environmental decisions.
  • Prepare constraints mapping and define the level of environmental analysis required.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and perform complex assignments.
  • Assist in preparation for and participation in public information meetings and hearings.
  • Perform presentations to regulatory agencies and assist clients with permit coordination, acquisition, and compliance.
  • Write Water Quality Studies and Natural Environment Studies or Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports.
  • Work independently on medium-size projects or assist senior scientists on larger projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a closely related field.
  • 5 years of technical and/or field experience preparing environmental documents.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel) and GIS.
  • Strong environmental writing and communication skills.
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
