Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at United Urology Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff in delivering high-quality urologic care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares Exam Rooms: Ensure daily exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and ready for patient care.
  • Coordinates Patient Care: Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and obtain urine specimens as needed.
  • Triage Patient Calls: Respond to patient calls, address pharmacy requests, test results, and medical questions, and document outcomes in our electronic health record (EHR).
  • Maintains Logs and Records: Assist in maintaining logs and records for OSHA/MOSHA compliance.
  • Adheres to Infection Control: Follow sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility.
  • Welcomes Patients: Greet patients and visitors in person or over the phone, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Completion of a Medical Assistant program or one year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical clinic is required. Urology experience is a plus.
  • Certification: Medical Assistant Certification preferred (AZ ONLY).
  • Skills: Proficiency in triaging patients, phlebotomy, administering injections, obtaining vitals, and processing specimens.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to listen, sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk throughout the day. Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
