Data Engineer II, Alexa Devices

About the Role
The Alexa Echo Device Team is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the product and development teams within Alexa org to understand the product vision and requirements.
- Design, implement, and support high-quality data products with Product Managers, BI engineers, and Software Engineers.
- Partner with other teams across Alexa to ingest relevant datasets into the Alexa Devices BI data-warehouse.
- Collaborate with other data engineers within the team to build a data platform that is self-service and possesses key capabilities like data discovery, data lineage, proactive data monitoring, and security/compliance monitoring.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases).
