Position Summary:
We are in search of a proficient Senior Accountant to enhance our finance department. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting standards and practices, alongside experience in financial forecasting, compliance, and regulatory reporting. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic finance team and play a crucial role in the financial achievements of Mayzo, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Month-End Closing:
- Support the month-end closing process and the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Analyze and prepare monthly reporting schedules.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for selected general ledger accounts.
- Assist in providing explanations for monthly SGA variances.
- Engage in actual versus budget variance analysis.
- Execute daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate verification, classification, computation, posting, and recording of journal entries.
- Manage invoice processing and customer maintenance, including price updates.
- Conduct thorough analysis of transactions to assess account balance appropriateness.
- Generate and review accounts receivable aging reports.
- Prepare weekly check runs and positive pay files.
- Assist in the formulation of the annual financial budget.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly sales analysis reports.
- Support physical inventory counts.
- Participate in the annual financial budget preparation.
- Engage in various special projects and compile diverse reports.
- Assist in documenting all accounting processes and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience as a staff or senior staff accountant.
- Prior involvement in month-end closing activities.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks while meeting deadlines.
