  • Conduct various collection activities to optimize cash flow and establish payment arrangements for overdue accounts.
  • Assess credit risk elements and advise on the appropriate action for accounts, including potential transfer to collection agencies, reinstatement, closure, or write-off.
  • Perform account reconciliations as necessary, engaging with customers to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Suggest adjustments or transfers for accounts as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

You will be part of a dedicated team of Credit Associates, reporting to the Collections Supervisor, and collaborating closely with Credit Clerks. This team fosters a culture of inclusive teamwork while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.

Collaborative Efforts:
You will engage with various departments within the accounting unit and work alongside teams such as Grocery, Petroleum, and others, promoting a collaborative environment.

Importance of the Role:
This position plays a crucial role in supporting local Co-ops by providing essential services that include marketing, market analysis, IT support, human resources, accounting, risk management, and business development.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals interested in a career in Finance who possess:
  • Two years of relevant accounting experience, a high school diploma, and completion of two financial accounting courses from an accredited institution or two courses from the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) program.
  • Alternatively, one year of relevant accounting experience, a high school diploma, and completion of four financial accounting courses from an accredited institution or four courses from the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) program.
