Truck Centers, Inc. is in search of a Human Resources Specialist to contribute to our operations. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of HR services aimed at supporting our workforce and the organization as a whole. The position is primarily on-site, with the possibility of remote work one day per week as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Healthcare Benefits Management: Administer all facets of healthcare benefits, including onboarding enrollments, terminations, modifications, and monthly reconciliations. Address billing inquiries and oversee the Open Enrollment process.
  • Leave of Absence Oversight: Manage employee leaves of absence, ensuring precise processing of short-term disability payments.
  • Worker's Compensation Assistance: Support the management of worker's compensation claims, including filing, tracking lost time, ensuring treatment payments, and fulfilling OSHA compliance reporting.
  • Unemployment Claims Processing: Efficiently respond to unemployment claims.
  • Performance and Talent Development: Facilitate performance reviews, goal-setting, and talent management initiatives.
  • Payroll Support: Act as a backup for payroll functions and assist the Payroll Manager as required.
  • COBRA Compliance: Administer COBRA benefits in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Wellness and Safety Initiatives: Create monthly wellness and safety articles for internal communications.
  • HR Analytics: Compile and analyze HR reports and metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Job Description Management: Develop and maintain job descriptions as necessary.
  • Employee Relations Management: Address employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and investigations, with professionalism and promptness.
  • Separation Documentation: Draft separation agreements and general releases when required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist capacity with a thorough understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

Certifications:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certifications are advantageous.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to meet insurance prerequisites.
  • High level of discretion and professional judgment to maintain confidentiality.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong commitment to delivering quality work in a collaborative team environment or independently.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; coaching experience is a plus.
  • Ability to liaise with vendors and represent the organization professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and HR Information Systems (HRIS) such as Paycom, Workday, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with DOT-FMCSA and OSHA regulations is preferred.

Compensation: $48,871-$73,307 annually
Additionally, this position is eligible for a monthly incentive program based on goal achievement.
