Job Overview

  • Lead and facilitate interdisciplinary team meetings and staff meetings to ensure effective communication.

  • Ensure a work environment free from harassment and discrimination.
  • Play an active role in the hiring process, interviewing and selecting staff based on program needs.
  • Maintain direct relationships with staff.
  • Build staff morale.
  • Foster professional development through regular supervision, training, and evaluations.
  • Supervise staff to ensure they meet the needs of the individuals we support and agency standards.
  • Utilize participatory management.
  • Foster the Open-Door Policy.
  • Maintain oversight and compliance of systems specific to role and responsibilities.
  • Foster communication and maintain professionalism between relevant supports.
  • Oversee all financial systems, maintaining records for the individuals we support and program expenditures.
  • Operate the program within budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff and individuals we support, reporting any hazardous conditions.
  • Ensure the completion and maintenance of all paperwork and written records related to individual treatment.
  • Report and monitor incidents, assisting with the investigative process.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS, MA/MS strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Prior Direct Support Professional experience preferred.
  • Background in supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed writing skills.
  • Takes initiative.
  • Highly flexible personality type.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred, depending on location.
  • Flexibility to respond to calls and programmatic needs beyond regular work hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn/use Workforce Management software to effectively carry out essential business processes.
