Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Operations Manager to join our team at Knapheide Manufacturing. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling activities of workers engaged in the fabrication of parts/units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all quality processes are utilized in the manufacturing of products, maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce all safety and work-rule guidelines, creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Performance Analysis: Interpret and understand necessary reports such as productivity, efficiency, bill of materials, and other relevant data to drive business decisions.
  • Project Management: Manage shop orders in an effective manner, ensuring timely completion and meeting customer expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Lead the setup of new projects that will improve the safety, quality, and productivity of the department, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Experience: Must have fabrication background in equipment like or similar to equipment used in the Knapheide Fabrication department.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer and AS400 system skills required, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and other reports.
  • Leadership: Must have the ability to lead teams, manage people in a positive manner, and achieve operating results.
  • Education: Education in a technical field related to fabrication preferred.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Must be able to move up and down the line and into work stations, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and other reports, and lift up to 50 lbs.
