Position Overview

As a CVOR Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care within the cardiovascular surgical environment. This position demands advanced knowledge and proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preoperative Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to surgical interventions to identify health requirements and formulate care strategies.
  • Operating Room Preparation: Ensure the operating room is ready for procedures, including the management of sterile instruments and monitoring equipment.
  • Intraoperative Care: Provide direct patient support during surgical operations, which includes monitoring vital signs and administering necessary medications.
  • Postoperative Management: Offer care to patients following surgery, focusing on vital sign monitoring, pain management, and recognizing potential complications.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and document all patient care activities diligently.
  • Continuous Education: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest practices in cardiovascular surgery and perioperative care.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid RN license along with substantial experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting. Strong clinical abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to perform under pressure are essential attributes for this role. Additionally, familiarity with cardiovascular surgical techniques and a solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology are highly valued.
