About the Role

Perimeter Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide positive role modeling and teach life skills to residents.
  • Conduct direct observation rounds and document patient behavior.
  • Promote daily living skills through task assignment and supervision.
  • Lead individual and group activities and programs.
  • Orient patients to the unit and assist with discharge processes.
  • Assist with verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Accompany patients to unit, mealtime, outdoor/indoor recreation, and education activities.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Degree or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Age: 21 years old or older.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in a children's services program or residential setting, or completion of two years of college in social sciences.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid State Driver's License, ability to complete CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training during New Hire Orientation.
  • Schedule: PRN - Day, Evening, and Overnight shifts available.
