Project Engineer I

Luxus is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks that provide experience and familiarity with engineering methods, practices, and programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and be able to work under close supervision while demonstrating some level of independence with required engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of plans, specifications, and inspection reports.
- Prepare material lists and labor contracts.
- Assist with the preparation of substation designs and construction drawings.
- Administer material purchases and construction contracts.
- Provide direction to designers and CAD operators on assigned teams.
- Interact with customers and vendors.
- Develop proficiency in a single area of substation engineering, such as physical layout design, protection/control design, relay settings programming, field support, substation commissioning, or relay testing.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for basic functions.
- Interface effectively with employees at all levels.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Zero to two years of applicable experience required.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
