Field Service Engineer Summer Intern

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Engineer Summer Intern to join our Instrument and Enterprise Services Division. As a Field Service Engineer Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced Field Service Engineers, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to real-world challenges in Field Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain invaluable insights and practical knowledge by observing and learning from experienced Field Service Engineers.
  • Take on a specific project linked to the Field Service Engineering business, applying your skills and contributing to real-world challenges.
  • Highlight your project findings and share your experiences with our Divisional Leadership Team.
  • Engage in a meaningful one-day volunteer project within your local community.
Requirements:
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks.
  • Field-based, customer-facing position requiring flexibility to travel with a senior Field Service Engineer.
  • Work side-by-side with Field Service Engineer mentors at customer sites in an assigned region.
  • Complete the assigned project before the end of the Summer Intern Program.
  • Represent the Company in a positive, professional manner in all interactions.
Education and Experience:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Returning to school as a rising Senior required.
  • Chemistry, Science, or a related engineering field is preferred.
  • Customer Service work experience is a plus.
  • Engineering, Robotics, and/or IT work experience is a plus.
