Job Description

Ares Management is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for our real estate funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and quarterly/annual reporting for our real estate funds.
  • Maintain the accounting books and records of our real estate funds, including monthly loan accruals and debt accounting, consolidation and elimination review, and general corporate closing entries.
  • Assist with investor income allocations, fees, and preparation of Net Asset Value (NAV).
  • Manage communications between related internal departments and external investors as needed.
  • Prepare corresponding monthly supporting schedules and analysis and reconciliations of account activity.
  • Maintain full financial statements for taxable entities, including specific tax provision accounting entries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a high-volume environment, preferably in real estate accounting or public accounting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task in a highly dynamic environment and meet challenging deadlines.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
