Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Webb County, TX. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing educational support to students with special needs, helping them to reach their full potential and achieve academic success.

Responsibilities
  • Instructional Strategies
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
    • Collaborate with students, parents, and other educators to identify learning goals and objectives.
    • Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Student Growth and Development
    • Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
    • Provide feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote student growth and development.
  • Classroom Management and Organization
    • Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
    • Develop and implement classroom management strategies to promote student behavior and reduce disruptions.
    • Organize and manage classroom materials and resources to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Communication
    • Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, and other educators to ensure that students receive the support they need.
    • Use a variety of communication strategies to engage students and promote learning.
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote parent-teacher communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in Special Education.
  • Ability to work with students with special needs and provide individualized support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff.
