Position Title: Radiology Special Procedures Tech II

Employment Type: Full-Time


Key Responsibilities:

  • The Radiology Special Procedures Technologist II is responsible for delivering patient services utilizing various imaging techniques. This role involves conducting radiographic procedures while adhering to radiation safety principles and the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standard.
  • Professionals in this position must demonstrate sound judgment during procedures, ensuring patient care is prioritized. They must also be capable of recognizing urgent patient conditions and initiating necessary life support actions.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, other departments, and medical staff is essential.
  • Availability for on-call radiology services as required.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification in Radiography.
  • Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License.
  • BLS certification (AHA) to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Radiography from an accredited educational program, whether hospital-based or a college degree program.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Special Procedures, specifically in an Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting.
  • Preferred qualifications include advanced ARRT registration and certification in Interventional Radiology.

Compensation: Bill Rate: $24.44 - $45.00

Work Schedule: Days, Monday to Friday. On-call duties from Monday to Thursday, shared among three technicians; weekend on-call once a month.
